THE WORLD AS A BODY

If the world is a body, with nerves made of iron; where is our heart?

From 1837, a time where only the wealthiest of the white people could afford to send a distant message, our means of technological communication has evolved as more efficient than ever before. In less than 100 years we have stitched our lands together with iron cables. A time where all the worlds issues sit within our pocket as we send our hearts through telephone poles. A time where we can send our “thoughts and prayers” whilst waiting for our UberEats. From the times of the telegraph, to 2018, we can say/hear/watch more things from more people, more quickly than ever before; but how much do we care?

I wonder when Grandma’s soup will be ready… I guess I’ll call her and ask.

Kind regards,
Puby Rhilpott
